The AI Fluency Framework is a descriptive and normative model of Human-AI interaction, developed by Prof Rick Dakan (Ringling College of Art and Design) and Prof Joseph Feller (University College Cork). The Framework defines AI Fluency as the ability to work effectively, efficiently, ethically, and safely within emerging modalities (automation, agency, and augmentation) of Human-AI interaction. It describes four core competencies (The “4Ds”).
